"We have those moments where we play the view just a little bit to either show you a milestone or a vista and things like this," Luis Barriga, Game Director on Diablo 4 Gold in Blizzard tells me. "And then when it comes to a World Boss, we zoom out the camera out a significant space to put you in the exact same area with 12 other players. That will be rare in the live game, but we included it in the demonstration to guarantee everyone got to watch it"

This flavor of what a World Boss encounter or large-scale multiplayer event may look like at Diablo 4 was eloquent in the demonstration, the camera pulling back to reveal that a large imposing demon named Ashava. New players appearing, and a big battle then occurring. Even though the experience was sped up considerably for the demo, it was a chance for all to see that this new dynamic camera coming within Diablo 4.

On the side of the equation, Diablo 4 will feature several real-time cut-scenes where players will be able to realize their personality and gear up close. On a pristine visual degree.

"Every Diablo match has added to this attribute," John Mueller, Diablo 4's Art Director describes. "Moving back to the original Diablo there was not a great deal of choice, however using Diablo 4 you had lots of rather different looking classes. And then with cheap D4 materials, you had a choice of gender. We believed that Diablo 4 should continue that tradition and go deeper, especially because it is a shared open-world you'll be able to research. If you saw the exact same Barbarian anyplace that would not feel very good."
